QAARC VE Testing for 2024

See our “Education and Training” page for dates for this year’s VE testing.

QAARC Amateur Radio Gear Drive 2024

We would like to thank everyone in the community who contributed to our 2018 annual amateur radio “Gear Drive”.  We continue to accept donations of amateur radio equipment on an ongoing basis.  Please refer to the “Donate to QAARC” section on our home page.

QAARC Field Day 2024

We cordially invite you to meet with the Amateur Radio operators of your community and members of QAARC at Tuckahoe State Park on June 22nd and 23rd.  The pavilion where we will be located is in the camping section located off Crouse Mill Road. The event will be open to the public from 2:00 p.m. to sundown Saturday and sunrise to 2:00 p.m. Sunday.

Like most communities, Queen Anne’s County doesn’t expect a major emergency. But they happen, and losing communications quickly can turn an emergency into a real disaster.

We will be inviting the press and community leaders to drop by, and will have brochures, information packets and other materials made available through the ARRL, the national association for Amateur Radio, explaining our work. Advertising in the local news papers will occur the second week of June.

We look forward to your visiting this event. It should be fun and is also a validation to the hundreds of Amateur Radio volunteers who have spent thousands of hours providing emergency communications, public service work and other benefits throughout our community and region.

If you need more information or would like to operate one or more of our field day stations (HF, CW, QRP, PSK31, VHF, GOTA, etc.) please contact us by email or phone.
